Raw Creamy Pumpkin Pie

  • 200 g/ 7 oz dried apples 
  • 200 g/ 7 oz dates 
  • 100 g/ 3.5 oz grated butternut pumpkin  
  • 500 g/ 18 oz butternut pumpkin 

Order unsulphured dried apples:

Order fresh dates:


  • A knife and cutting board
  • A peeler
  • A freezer
  • A grater
  • A food processor
  • Parchment paper
  • A pie mold
  • A blender

Order a food processor:

Order a blender:


  • Peel the pumpkin, freeze it and then let it defrost; 
  • Place the dried apples into the blender; 
  • Blend the dried apples into the flour like consistency; 
  • Remove the pits from the dates; 
  • Place the dried apples, dates and grated pumpkin into the food processor;  
  • Blend these ingredients into a paste; 
  • Place a piece of parchment paper into a pie mold; 
  • Place the paste over the paper in the mold; 
  • Press the paste into the bottom and the sides of mold to form the pie crust; 
  • Place the pie mold with crust into the freezer to have the crust tighten; 
  • Place the defrosted pumpkin into the blender; 
  • Blend the pumpkin into the filling; 
  • Make sure you are using the butternut pumpkin, the one with the dark orange flesh, since that one contains enough water so that it can be blended without adding extra water; 
  • Add the filling into the pie crust; 
  • Add some minced dried apples on top and decorate as you wish; 
  • Place the pie into the fridge to have it tighten; 

  • Cut the pie into pieces;
